How much does the tour cost?

Our public tours are priced at €80 per person, which includes 6 delicious food and 2 drink tastings, local stories, and lots of fun. Private-group pricing is available upon request.

Is the tour Physically demanding and how much do we walk?

Expect about 2.5 hours of strolling through Drogheda (~2.5 km total), with eight tasty pit‑stops and plenty of historic and artistic commentary along the way. We move at a comfortable pace and pause frequently for sampling and storytelling. A mderate level of fitness is required, there are steps involved!

Food and drink included?

Absolutely!  you’ll enjoy a full tasting experience, featuring items such as  Artisan Neapolitan Style pizza, charcutterie, seafood chowder, sausage rolls, cheeseboards, gelato, wholesome snacks & coffee. There are local drinks involved and it would be rude not to enjoy a pint of Guinness. No extra purchases needed.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please inform us of your allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking. We’ll do our best to accommodate when coordinating with venues. As with all food tours in Ireland, cross-contamination can’t be ruled out; however, your safety is our top priority.

What if I don’t drink alcohol?

No problem! We’re happy to swap alcoholic samples for something non-alcoholic - just mention it when you book.

Can children come on the tour?

Totally! Children aged 12 and above are welcome on our regular tours. Younger children can join on private tours - drop us a line for family-friendly options.

What if it rains?

We tour rain or shine - this is Ireland, after all! Just dress wisely. If the weather is extremely severe, we’ll contact you about rescheduling or refunds.

Public tours are capped at 12 people to maintain an intimate and engaging experience. For Private tours contact us for more information!

Do I need to arrive early?

Yes, please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time so we can check everyone in, depart on time, and provide a great experience for all.

Where does the tour start and end?

Meeting details (e.g. “outside Scholars Townhouse Hotel , Drogheda”) will be in your confirmation email and on the ticket voucher. Tours conclude at Peggy Moore’s - just in time to enjoy a proper pint or continue exploring independently.

You bet. We offer private bookings, corporate/team events, birthdays, hen's and stag parties, and themed tours. Please get in touch with us with your needs, and we’ll tailor something special for you.

What if I arrive late?

Accepted Answer

Tours run to a tight schedule with partner venues. If you’re late, we may not be able to accommodate you or offer a refund, we ask you to turn up 10 minutes before the start.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Cancellations made 72+ hours before the tour receive a full refund. Within 72 hours or no-shows are non-refundable. For exceptional circumstances, contact us - we’ll do our best to help.

Are tours wheelchair or stroller accessible?

Accepted Answer

There are steps on the tour route, however the tour guide can direct you via the pathways which are a longer distance. Most of the route is on smooth, accessible streets. Let us know any mobility needs when booking, and we’ll plan accordingly with venues and route adjustments.
